Dual GPS with Motorola Xoom
I now have a "basic" chartplotter for my boat with a 10" screen.
The Dual XGPS150A is packaged wtih a nice rubber mat that secures teh device on my boats dashboard under the windshield. This makes it almost water proof with a small plastic cup over it. I do this just to prevent ocean spray with off shore use.
My Xoom needed to be set up with a little "hack" they have built into the Bluetooth app needed to use the device.
As or right now I have Navionics software on my Xoom runing with great accuracy and I have the ability to use this device with other devices that I own. It does not limit you too much.
I have not tested the battery capabilities in full, however, I have no areas that I use it that I do not plug it in to the 12V outlet or my laptop for power wheen needed.
I think this is a great option for anyone looking to set up a more accurate GPS for thier tablet or cell phone.
For the first review stating the Xoom does not work with this you have tod ownload the Bluetooth GPS app from the android store. (FREE) then go to setting and select USE INSECURE CONNECTION. It will connect within about 30 seconds.
The INSECURE part of the connection just means that the signal is avaialable to others that want to use it at the same time. What are the chances of that being the case with a GPS. Who cares . Its not the date on your tablet that is insecure. Good Luck

Pros: Accurate within 6-10 feet in most areas
Cons: Took a little assistance getting it set up - but it works now
