Pros: It works perfectly
Cons: Its a dangly thing, so it comes unplugged at times.

This adapter works perfectly. Theres not much else to say. The user who complained that the phone has a "whine" while charging is obviously charging in a car. It makes sense that it whines, because the USB coming out of a 12VDC power adapter in a car is prone to ground loop noise. If you want clean sound, install a ground loop isolator or deal with the hum.

This does exactly what it says. Im able to charge my phone and listen to music in the car at the same time. Ill probably order a second for the office. Excellent product, highly recommended.

this is very helpful because the tilt runs out of bat fast and now u can charge it and lissen to music at the same time or if you are in a car lissening to music and charge

Cons: Be careful where and how you use it.

Initially the adapter was great. I charged and listened to music. After about a month though the adapter would somehow automatically change the song im listening to or start playing music at the wrong time (this happened only while charging). When I tried to charge via usb on my pc, it also caused a few restarts at work. Lastly, dont talk on the phone with your earpiece while charging it makes u sound like a robot and their is a constant buzz for the person on the other line. But it does what it says it does....just not too well.

Headphone noise when charging

I bought this adapter in order to be able to charge my G1 while using headphones to listen to podcasts, music, etc since the G1 doesnt have a headphone jack. Unfortunately this adapter produces terrible static/noise through the headphones when the power cable is also attached. Which makes this worthless to me. Bummer.

Annoying whine in headphone while charging

I bought this adapter in order to be able to listen to music while charging the phone. Unfortunately this does not work well, because when listening to music while charging you hear a pretty loud whining sound.

The fact that you cannot effectively use this to listen to music while charging kind of defeats the purpose of getting this product in the first place.

Alternator whine makes this useless in the car

I was really looking forward to using this in my car to listen to music while charging my phone, but it didnt work out at all. When I plug it into my car charger, and use an audio cable to pipe the audio out into my car stereos "auxiliary in" port, I get "alternator whine", a high-pitched whine that increases to the extent that I rev my engine. Even in loud songs, I can still hear it oscillating every time I accelerate and lay off the gas, and it drives me absolutely crazy, making it impossible to enjoy any song. My stereo has no USB port to plug into for alternate power.

Worse, HTC apparently doesnt even really manufacture it. I e-mailed their support and called their accessories department, and they said that they dont manufacture any car chargers or 3-in-1 adapters, so apparently this is some kind of OEM contraption that Androidians simply marks as manufactured by HTC.

Im pretty amazed that what must be a very common use case for this product wasnt tested thoroughly enough to reveal an issue so glaringly obvious. Maybe theres nothing wrong with the adapter and its actually a flaw in my car charger, but HTC and Androidians are so allergic to handling support cases individually that no one could even speculate as to whether that was possible.

What a disappointment.

NOT VERY RELIABLE , WORKS WELL IN THE BEGINNING THEN DIES AFTER 3 MONTHS NO OTHER PRODUCTS OF ITS KIND OUT THERE SO HAVE TO GET ANOTHER AND HOPE THIS ONE WILL LAST A LITTLE LONGER.....

Im buying my second one right now because theres no good alternative. It does work, but if you use it everyday in your car like I do, you may start to lose audio after a few months.
