This is the charging station you always dreamed of. One cord, one mat, one place to charge all your handheld devices!

The PowerMat Portable Mat uses magnetic induction and PowerMat proprietary technology to charge your handheld devices quickly, efficiently and wirelessly. Connect your device(s) to a PowerMat receiver, either the PowerCube or dedicated receiver, and place it on the PowerMat surface to start charging!

The magnetic attraction between every Receiver and each access point on every Mat assures that alignment is precise and the most efficient charging will occur. This is one of the keys to the PowerMat system's ability to charge your devices as fast or faster than the original power adapter.

A unique sound tells you that a solid connection has been made and your device is charging. A second, similar sound is heard when the device is removed. The level of these sounds can be charged or they can be turned off.

Each access point has a corresponding light indicator that informs you that your device is charging wirelessly. The intensity of these lights can be changed or they can be turned off.

No Receiver for Droid Eris

Pros: Convenient, space saving, dont have to keep up with as many chargers.
Cons: Not enough receivers available.

I like the powermat and have enjoyed it thus far, however, I wouldnt have bought it if Id known there wasnt a receiver on the market for the Droid Eris. I can still charge my phone using the power cube, but that almost defeats the purpose of having the powermat in the first place.

Overall, its a nice product, just make sure they make a receiver for your devices before purchasing.

Pros: Good idea
Cons: Doesnt work

Although I thought the powermat for Evo 4-g would help me with keeping a battery powered, this product not only didnt charge, but helped drain the battery.

Pros: nice firestarter

If you do the research you will find that lithium batteries are very touchy. they MUST be cut off at a certain charge level. this charging mat cannot dettect the charge level of a given battery since there is no physical wired connection. If a litium battery is overcharged... BANG!! Huge fireball!! If you are set on purchasing this product or any like it, make sure your home owners/renters insurance is up to date and covers fire damage. There is a reason that manufacturers say in their owners manuals to use ONLY APPROVED chargers.
