StarStarStarStarStar It does what it says it does
User: Jud Judson, Jan 9, 2010

Pros:  easy to use once you cna get a Windows Moblie phone to download the firmware. does what it says it is a great magnifier and a great small keyboard
Cons:  asking every one it they havea Windows Mobile phone. Also web pages dont scrowl very easily

it is not a computer. It has a great small but easy to use key board wit ha few shortcuts. It does nothing on its own. If you are looking for a better way to surf the net using your phone, this works fine with about a 12 font instead of your phones 1 font. If you want it to do more buy a computer. I like this just like it is. Simple to use and it even charges your phone while you are using it.
StarStarStarStarStar Do NOT go without a Redfly.

Pros:  Everything.
Cons:  I didnt get it sooner. That and smartphone video not supported through USB.

Ok, as a proud owner of a Treo Pro I knew that it, like almost all WinMo phones have an issue. Screen size, or lack thereof. With the power of Windows mobile, and the amount of things you can do it, with the proper screen size, there are almost no limits. Well, you cant play WoW, but thats about it. Even with the QWERTY keyboard, you are too limited.

Then I saw the Redfly advertisement. Checked out the videos, and knew I had to get one. I was going to get it, but everyone was out of stock, and was expecting the new 2nd generation soon. I waited, and got the 8" second C8N model. What can i say that hasnt been said?

Laptop capabilities, including the ability to add flash drives? Check.

Mouse compatible? Check

Watch movies? Half check. You can with a media player, but not with USB on the phone. Only drawback right there. But they could fix that in the future. If they do, count me in.

Just I have to say this. Your phone is capable of so much. Let it do what it can, with the Redfly, you have your 8" screen, and nice size keyboard.

The tech specs are there. The feel, and the use of it is just incredible.

I have 3 words for you. Get one now.
StarStarStarStarStar Beware!
User: Bob Walker, Feb 19, 2010

Pros:  Great concept
Cons:  Software & hardware are flaky

I actually own the previous model, C8, purchased Oct. 2008. The software reconfigured my AT&T FUZE to the point I had to do a hard reset to get it corrected, after which I stopped using the Redfly for several months. Their support team could never get it to work correctly with my FUZE. I tried again when new software was released, but that version isnt compatible with the C8 and that this point the display on the Redfly has failed. I was told it is "not cost effective" to repair out-of-warranty devices. They did offer to sell me a new one at a 25 discount. No thanks, I got virtually no service from the first one!
